Meet Meadow

Meadow exists to clarify and simplify the financial experience for students, improving enrollment, retention, and payment outcomes for institutions. The mission is simple: empower students financially and strengthen economic mobility through higher education.

Our story

The idea for Meadow came to our co-founders after a nightmarish higher education financial experience led to confusion, frustration and disappointment.

We knew that financial barriers were the #1 reason students didn’t earn a degree, but we learned that the challenge went beyond cost alone. One thing was clear: the finances of higher education are as complicated as they are expensive, and complexity poses an equal barrier to access for students.

We teamed up with experts in higher education, tech, and design to make the financial experience of  students and institutions as easy as it should be.

Alfredo Brillembourg

Alfredo drives growth and sets overall direction across all facets of Meadow’s operations. Before founding Meadow, Alfredo worked in finance at Bowery Capital, Goldman Sachs and New Enterprise Associates. He then joined the founding team at Coursedog (backed by YC, Coatue, and First Round), which exposed him to the opportunities for modern software in Higher Education. Alfredo holds a BA in economics and business administration from Columbia University.

He then founded his own engineering consultancy where he worked on dozens of  projects for companies like Capital One Bank and published original research on mobile engineering. Prior to founding Meadow, Pietro was lead software engineer at Upside Business Travel which raised over $50M in venture funding. He holds a BA in economics and applications of computing from Princeton University.
