How it works

Simple by design

1. Add items

Create non-tuition items in minutes: name, price, category. Choose whether each is available as a public or private link.

2. Share the links

Publish to your public storefront, or generate a private link to send the right charge to the right person.

3. Get paid

Payers check out in seconds. Every transaction flows into Meadow, with easy reporting for all stakeholders.

Frequently Asked Questions

What kinds of fees can I collect with Meadow Checkout?

Any payment or fee that's not typically included in a tuition bill. Common examples include parking passes, lab fees, event tickets, ID replacement fees, and departmental charges. If your campus collects it outside of tuition billing, Meadow Checkout can handle it.

What's the difference between a public link and a private link?

A public link gives you a browsable storefront that anyone can access and pay from — ideal for campus-wide fees that students, faculty, and staff can find and purchase on their own. A private link is a direct checkout link for a specific item that you generate and share only with the right person or group of people — better for fees that vary by student or shouldn't be publicly listed.

Do payers need a Meadow account to check out?

No. Payers can complete a transaction without creating an account, which means less friction and more successful transactions.

How does reporting work?

Every Meadow Checkout transaction flows into your existing Meadow reporting view. You can track orders, pull transaction history, and handle reconciliation without logging into a separate system. Plus, these reports are shareable with other departments and intuitive to understand.

Is Meadow Checkout available as a standalone product?

Meadow Checkout is available alongside Meadow Pay or Meadow Pre — it's not sold as a standalone product. If you're already a Meadow Pay or Pre partner, reach out to hello@meadowfi.com to add it.

Which departments can use Meadow Checkout?

Any department on campus. Meadow Checkout is built to work across your institution — not just the bursar's office. Athletics, housing, facilities, student affairs — if a department collects fees, they can use Meadow Checkout.

Does Meadow offer Point of Sale (POS) Payment Terminals?

Yes! As of 2026, Meadow offers omni-channel in-person payment devices. Select from a range of countertop, portable, and handheld payment devices that support key features like receipts and tap-to-pay.
