Edit a Payment Plan Right from the Admin Dashboard

When life happens and a student can’t stick to their payment plan, making an adjustment should be easy—not another thing on your to-do list.

On most billing platforms, plan changes mean delays, extra back-and-forth, and sometimes a multi-day wait for a support team to make updates. Or worse, there’s no flexibility and a change to a payment plan means coming up with something custom to track in spreadsheet outside the billing system.

When students run into financial friction, speed and flexibility matter. That’s why we built Edit a payment plan: a self-serve way for staff to adjust a student’s installment in minutes—so more students stay on track and you drive stronger payment outcomes.

The update: an easy way for admins to edit a payment plan

When a student needs a change, you can handle it in minutes.

You can edit a payment plan right from within the student detail page — no canceling and recreating plans, and no support tickets.

In just a few clicks, you can:

  • Adjust an installment amount to match what a student can pay right now
  • Move a payment date out to give them breathing room
  • Turn off autopay (without derailing the rest of the plan)
  • Remove installments or add installments to spread the balance across more time
  • Cancel the payment plan entirely when needed

Why institutions care

Payment plans only work when they work for real life. And real life is messy.

This release is part of a bigger goal: creating the most flexible payment plan experience — so schools can make any plan setup work based on students’ needs, without routing requests through a billing partner.

For institutions, that flexibility translates into:

  • Lower administrative burden; no need to reach out to Meadow to make a change or cancel a plan and manage a new one via spreadsheet
  • Higher plan enrollment as a % of billable students

  • Fewer delinquent payment plans because you can meet students’ needs
