International student tuition payments, without the guesswork

With Meadow and TransferMate, international families can pay using methods that work where they live, and everyone can see exactly where the payment stands.
When an international tuition payment leaves a family’s bank, the next question is always: Where is it?
Historically, that answer has been difficult for both sides to find. Families wait days without knowing whether their payment was received, while student accounts teams have little visibility into whether funds are still in transit or when they will arrive.
Meadow now supports international payments through TransferMate, giving families more ways to pay and giving students and administrators shared visibility from the moment a payment is initiated through its deposit to the institution.
International payments that stay connected to each student
International payments happen directly within Meadow; no separate portal or login for administrators to manage.
Because the payment starts in Meadow, it is connected to the correct student and amount from the beginning. Administrators can see when a student initiates a payment, track its progress, and view it on the student’s details page, and payers have that same level of visibility.
When the funds arrive, the payment is automatically tied to the student’s record. This reduces the risk of incorrect amounts or mistyped student IDs that can occur when families enter payment details on a third-party website—and helps prevent delays and extra work for both families and staff.
Payment options that work where families live
Meadow already gives families in the United States multiple ways to pay, including bank transfers, cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. Through TransferMate, Meadow now extends that flexibility to families paying from abroad.
After choosing to make an international payment, families select their country and see the payment methods available in their market. Depending on the country, those options can include bank transfers and payment networks such as Alipay, Maestro, and Diners Club.
Families can review the applicable exchange rate and fees before confirming their payment, so they understand exactly how much they are paying before money changes hands. Plus, the rate is locked in for 48 hours so there are no surprises after payment is processed.

A simpler international payment experience—for everyone
International families get familiar payment options, upfront pricing information, and clear confirmation that their money is moving.
Student accounts teams get visibility into each payment without relying on families to provide updates, jumping to a third-party website to monitor, or waiting for funds to appear.
It is the same straightforward payment experience Meadow provides domestically, now extended to families around the world.
