Meadow, the student financial experience platform purpose-built for higher education, today announced a partnership with the California State University (CSU) to deploy Meadow Price, its modern net price calculator, across its 22 CSU campuses. The agreement also makes Meadow PreCollect — Meadow's student accounts receivable solution — available to the CSU institutions.
The CSU is the largest four-year public university system in the United States, serving more than 470,000 students across campuses from Humboldt to San Diego. Under this partnership, each campus will receive a GAINS Act-compliant, fully configured undergraduate net price calculator and graduate net price calculator, each with lead generation features, and an analytics dashboard — giving prospective students and their families real-time, personalized cost estimates before they ever apply.
Meadow Price is a fully hosted, cloud-based calculator that requires no IT integration from the institution. Implementation is driven by financial aid teams, and Meadow manages all hosting, uptime, and ongoing updates, so campus teams stay focused on students rather than maintenance.
Noelia Gonzales, Systemwide Director, Financial Aid Programs at The California State University, shares, “The CSU is committed to ensuring every prospective student, regardless of background, has access to clear, accurate information about the cost of their education. California's GAINS Act raises the bar for what that means in practice, and Meadow's platform is built to meet it. This partnership is a natural extension of our commitment to affordability and access.”
“The CSU's commitment to access and affordability are exactly the kind of institutional values that make this partnership meaningful,” said Meadow CEO and Co-founder Alfredo Brillembourg. “When a first-generation student gets a real, personalized cost estimate before they ever apply, that changes the decision they make. And when a student falls behind on tuition, how that institution responds can be the difference between them staying enrolled or walking away for good. That is what Meadow is built for, clarity at the front door and support when it matters most.”
California's GAINS Act sets a new standard for net price transparency, requiring institutions to provide personalized cost estimates for student parents, a population that has historically faced the greatest uncertainty about college affordability.
In addition to ensuring compliance with the GAINS Act, Meadow’s net price calculator will provide greater financial transparency and the ability to do personalized outreach to prospective students who complete the net price calculator, helping the CSU increase applications and yield.
Meadow partners with colleges and universities of all sizes across the United States, including Penn State, University of Texas at Austin, Rutgers University, University of New Hampshire, Gonzaga University, and Tulsa Community College.
